At the root of this work is the notion that our psyche is in a constant cycle of surfacing unconscious material. While our body processes images, experiences, and fleeting moments, our brain is in a constant state of meaning making. A trampled rose reminds us of a lover, a barred up window of our need to escape. These snippets and scenes speak those who listen. Before written language there was image. Here the power of the image, icon, and photographs in time conjure up the idea that at our root we are infinitely creative, and driven by connection.
