Creative Direction for EX Innovation Conference

During my time at ?What If! Innovation Partners I had the opportunity to work with strategist Shaun Harris and designer Mattias Mackler in the naming, development, & design execution of an annual innovation conference for a Fortune 500 pharma company.

Overall concept was around "Bringing the outside in". Once our naming concept of EX landed, each member of our design team took a couple hours for a rapid concept development. Out of that afternoon brainstorm, I came up with this simple visual mnemonic of a window to the outside world. From there I extended the creative direction across additional elements such as signage, name badges, invites etc. The very talented Mattias executed these concepts in the end. We were happy how it all turned out given a relatively low budget and quick timeline.

My favorite element from the initial concepts were these living signage ideas (below) that we weren't able to sell in (due to budget). Who wouldnt love a sign filled with confetti?
